Adoption & Foster Care

Our goal is to uplift, inform, and engage mothers and fathers by providing information and resources to inspire positive parental engagement.

Adoption is a process where a person assumes the parenting of another, usually a teenager, child, or infant from a person’s biological or legal parents. Legal adoptions permanently transfers all rights and responsibilities from the biological parent or parents. Foster care is a system, often temporary where a minor has been placed into a ward, group home, or a private home of a state-certified caregiver, referred to as a “foster parent” or with a family member approved by the state. The placement of the child is normally arranged through the government or a social service agency. Both adoption and foster car is an awesome opportunity for both the child and appointed caregiver. It provides a child with a safe and consistent environment, conducive to growth and the feeling of having a family. Here are some resources for both adoption and foster care:
